IFSO-European Chapter

IFSO-European Chapter (IFSO-EC) is a regional chapter of the International Federation for Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders, founded in 2004 by leading European bariatric surgeons. It focuses on coordinating scientific collaboration among European bariatric surgical organizations, organizing and coordinating European bariatric scientific activities and congresses, collaborating with EU authorities and international organizations on obesity awareness, prevention and treatment pathways, and working with non-surgical and patient-advocacy groups.
