SUM 2026 was the 9th Multidisciplinary Symposium on Circular Economy and Urban Mining, held 2026-05-20 to 2026-05-22 in Procida, Italy. It was a three-day scientific forum for researchers, professionals, institutional representatives and stakeholders to discuss circular economy, sustainable resource management and urban mining. The programme included 149 oral presentations, 16 workshops and 17 poster sessions, with particular focus on critical raw materials recovery, complex waste recycling, microplastics, PFAS and links between circular economy, environment, public health and energy.
