Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa, and its exhibition activity concentrates in Lagos, the commercial capital. The Lagos International Trade Fair, organised annually by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry—the country's oldest chamber—is regarded as one of the largest general trade fairs in West Africa, drawing exhibitors across technology, agriculture, energy and manufacturing. Nigeria's exports are dominated by crude petroleum, which generates the large majority of export earnings, supplemented by agricultural commodities such as cocoa. Additional regional fairs, including the Abuja International Trade Fair and events in Kano, extend the calendar.
