CLIMATE-Arch – Symposia is a series of academic symposia on vernacular architecture, climate, ecology, technology and anthropology, comprising at least three themed events: Vernacular Futures; Vernacular Buildings in the Anthropocene (comfort, sustainability, adaptability); and Making Vernacular Buildings (knowledge and craft). The events bring together experts from architectural, social science, natural science and technical backgrounds, focus regionally on alpine and Himalayan contexts while accepting comparative work, and include keynote presentations, sessions, and related publication projects. Registration is required to present or to attend.
