Märchenmarkt Gera

Märchenmarkt Gera is an annual Christmas market in Gera that transforms the city center into a fairy-tale themed market featuring life-size Grimm fairy-tale figures along a route from the Stadtmuseum through the pedestrian zone to the Marktplatz. The event includes a stage with programs for all ages, daily appearances by Santa Claus, a large illuminated Christmas tree, and about 90 market huts offering Thuringian specialties, mulled wine and other seasonal goods. It runs during the Advent/Christmas period.
